Online Grammars
Most textbooks nowadays come with a grammar supplement of some sort - an appendix at the end of the book, or a separate booklet. Students are becoming familiar with them and using them as a learning tool. But the students should know there are plenty of online versions of those grammar references and start using them in a similar way. They could come to these pages when they have a question, or the grammar page could be minimised while they do a grammar exercise.
In this practise we will have a look at one of the most popular grammar pages on the net.

Edufind is a free online guide for English grammar, writing, and punctuation. It is very accessible for ESO and Batxillerat students.
The grammar lessons are classified either by subject or by categories

This is a guide to writing in English, and contains a list of Easily confused words. When you click on Review, you are presented with the pronunciation, an explanation of the word and an example.
Activity framework
- Methodology. These pages can be used as a complement to a grammar explanation in class. It may help learners infer the grammar rule or consolidate what has been practised in class. It can also be a self-learning tool, or even a place to come and self-correct an exercise.
- Timing. One session.
- Complementary material. This is a sample worksheet that can be very easily adapted to any grammar point: a / an, countables / uncountables, comparatives and superlatives, relative pronouns or verb tenses.
Additional info
The Grammar at LearnEnglishCentral in the British Council gives brief explanations on the most common areas of grammar, answers to questions, and games. Enter the grammar archives for an alphabetical list of topics.
Gramática at La Mansión del Inglés is another good resource, specially for lower level students. The list of topics is not so comprehensive, but the explanations come in Spanish.
