Efl.net is an English learning site with songs and stories to listen to (ComAudio) and exercises for you to improve your grammar and knowledge of proverbs and idioms. There are all types of listening texts, from songs to poems, from instructions to stories, each with several exercises. These texts are suitable for all level students, and can be easily adapted for those who need adaptació curricular.

• Go to http://www.efl.net/ and choose ComAudio from the menu on the left.

• Select Songs

Choose The Beatles, Imagine

and the mode in which you want to do the activity. Let’s start with Normal text.

• Listen to the song while you read the full lyrics. You may control the volume from

• From the choice of exercises, now select Nouns (cloze)

Now the text will appear with some blanks. When you click on them, a box appears in which to type the answer.

• Now choose Hangman

and the level of difficulty

Click the letters on the keyboard to guess the word, and Next word to continue with the game.

You may print any of the exercises. Just tick the box.

• Methodology. Give the students a worksheet to complete along with their listening.
• Timing. One session in the computer room.
• Resources. It is highly recommended that the students use headphones instead of the computer’s loudspeakers to avoid excess noise.
