Story Makers

Story Makers sites allow us to create stories in an easy way in the classroom. In this practise we are entering some of them to be aware of its didactic possibilities.

Practice it!

STORY MAKER - Reading Planet

  • The start of the story is created just for them! If children want to add to their story and carry on with it, they can write in a box.

  • When they finish it, by clicking DONE, they get their story with the background scene and characters chosen. It can be printed.

STORY MAKER - British Council

This site (http://www.britishcouncil.org/kids-writing-storymaker.htm) offers the students the possibility of creating their own story. http://www.britishcouncil.org/kids-writing-storymaker.htm

  • Click on next.
  • Then choose a fairy story, a horror story, or a science fiction story.
  • Wait for the storymaker to load, then answer the questions, choose the characters, words and places or write your own -a dictionay is available for you-! Then the story maker will ’make’ the story and you can print it too!

  • Timing: one session (one hour class)
  • Resources: computer with internet connection and earphones.
